Left Hand Drive TrucksThe below LHD trucks out of U.S.A., Freightliner, International, Volvo, Peterbilt, Westernstar, etc., have been sold recently in Africa. There are plenty more of the huge left hand drive "horses" available, with or without trailers, upon request. Most trucks have an average of 600,000 miles, have been regularly maintained well, and are in very good condition, ready for another 7 to 12 years work dependant on road conditions and treatment. 
Details:Average miles on these trucks are 600,000 miles. These trucks have at least another 5-7 years of reliable service, which is naturally dependant on roads, loads and good maintenance.The trucks above are Freightliner, but we also readily source International, Peterbilt, Volvo and Westernstar
Other Notes:All these trucks have electronic engines which are Cummings N14 with Eaton fuller transmissions and Rockwell final drives.The other engine makes we can obtain will be Caterpillar, Detroit, Mercedes and Volvo. The price of the trucks will not vary much and in some cases like Mercedes powered engines, the price will be about 10 - 15 % less.
Average prices on FOB basis as follows:1996 to 1998 models: from US$11,000 up to US$14,999 FOB1999 to 2000 models: from US$15,000 up to US$19,999 FOB 2001 to 2003 models: from US$20,000 up to US$29,999 FOB The average cost of freight for the "horses" alone will be as follows:to Durban port: US$4,500to Dar-Es-Salaam port: US$7,200 Trailers also available separately from US$6,000 FOB (freight will depend on the size of each trailer).
